Particle Collider Visualization

This video shows a simulation of oscillating electric and magnetic fields inside a particle collider crab cavity. It won an OASCR (Office of Advanced Scientific Computing Research) award for scientific visualization. The simulation was produced by Tech-X's VORPAL, a massively parallel application for simulation of plasma and particle physics phenomena. The output was rendered using the Tech-X VizSchema, LLNL's VisIt, and POVRay. I am one of the lead developers of VizSchema which is a standard for describing and interpreting scientific data for visualization.
